Preface
The test was done in 2004. The scooter at that time was with carburetor.
Field Test
Test# Acceleration Rate
To compare the acceleration performance between the Conventional Roller weight and the Sliding Roller weight of Dr.Pulley.
Condition
- Scooter model : KYMCO GY6 125 c.c.
- Rider weight : 100 kg (220 lb).
- Weight Roller : 18×14, 13 gram.

There are three test cycles. We record the time of each cycle.
- Test cycle #1:
- 0 ~ 100 km/hr, with throttle fully open.
- Test cycle #2 :
- Fully open throttle to reach speed of 80 km/hr.
- Close throttle ’til speed drops to 60 km/hr.
- Fully open throttle again to reach speed of 80 km/hr.
- Test cycle #3 :
- Fully open throttle to reach speed of 80 km/hr.
- Close throttle ’til speed drops to 70 km/hr.
- Fully open throttle again to reach speed of 80 km/hr.
What did it record?
This field test recorded the time needed to complete each cycle, High and Low gear ratios, and the speed at High gear ratio
Conclusion
The test result is shown in the following table and infographic. From the result, we can see that the scooter with Dr.Pulley Sliding roller weight is “Faster” than that with traditional Round roller weight in all conditions.
